Amazon Prime Day - motherhooddiaries

11th July marks the start of Amazon Prime Day, where Prime users can enjoy 30 hours of great shopping deals starting at 6 pm tonight. Stay tuned as I will be revealing six of Amazon Prime Day’s great deals with Motherhood Diaries’ lucky readers in this post!

Parents, do you remember what it was like back in the day when we had to time our shopping runs according to when shops were open, which would normally be until around 5 pm? Remember the stress of running out of nappies at 11 pm and not knowing where to send your partner to get some more in the middle of the night?

We all rejoiced when stores stayed open for 24 hours. We’d drive up in our jammies and overspend so we wouldn’t have to do the drive of shame to the shops at 3 am to get milk again…

Thankfully, those days are over and the new world of convenience is ensuring that we don’t have to drive anywhere – or even leave our house to shop anymore. In 1994, we were blessed with the giant of all shopping experiences, Amazon, which is an extremely smart and innovative shopping search engine that offers countless deals and discounts on hundreds of thousands of products every day, which are delivered straight to your door up until 9 pm.

Amazon Prime

Amazon has grown with the times and in 2007, they recognised that users needed items quicker than the 2-day plus delivery period and so set up Amazon Prime, which is a paid membership (you can sign up for a 30 day free trial here and then pay £7.99/month thereafter) that offers even better deals that can be delivered the next day and even the same day on some purchases, if ordered early enough.

Amazon Prime Pantry and Fresh

Following the success of Amazon Prime, Amazon set up a Pantry delivery service and then, subsequently a ‘Fresh’ option, which meant that people didn’t have to leave Amazon to buy groceries elsewhere. Run out of milk? No problem, Amazon Fresh has now got you covered!

And, it gets better.

A next day/two-day delivery for Pantry and Fresh items are still too long, right?

Amazon Prime Now

This is where Amazon Prime Now comes in!

Amazon has teamed up with Morrisons to deliver grocery shopping the same day and in 2-hour slots – and the minimum delivery is only £20! Convenience has been brought to a whole new level and Amazon Prime Now has since become my best friend for grocery shopping. If I ever forget essential products for my kids, then I would just need to order them on Amazon Prime Now and select a 2-hour slot the same day.

And, if that wasn’t enough for you, Amazon wants to keep giving.
